Kristel Morin originally from Sydney, Australia now residing in London, UK picked up her first set of turntables in 2002 and never looked back. Over the years she has provided Sydney and London with her own unique deep house flavour. Her sets represent the true sounds of New York Garage and House with a touch of afro, including exaggerated yet welcome bias to vocal tracks – ensuring an ever-present feminine touch wherever she plays. Kristel's repertoires are heavily influenced by her musical tastes which date back to her love for soul, hip hop, rnb and neo soul as well as some of the worlds finest DJs and producers. These include Timmy Regisford, Ian Friday, Louie Vega, Osunlade, Blaze, Black Coffee and Spinna to name but a few. Kristel’s style has led to residencies at Sydney's elite Hugo's lounge as well as Martini Bar, Arcardi Lounge and a monthly residency at a leading weekly soulful House night, KLife. Kristel has also played at hotspots such as Favela, The Argyle, SHE Boat Cruise, Industrie, Ruby Rabbit, The Tilbury, Lizard Lounge, Tonic Lounge, Moulin Rouge, Civic Underground and one of Sydney's famous warehouse parties House Your Soul. In addition, 2007 saw Kristel play along side DJ Stacy Kidd and an impromptu warm up set for Ron Carroll. As well as involvement in Australia's house scene, Kristel was an integral part of “The Sista Show” on Bondi FM 88.0, hosting the program which seeks to support fellow female DJ's and allowed her to share her passion for deep soulful House music. In 2008 Kristel made her move to London, which enabled her to further immerse in the international house scene. Immediately she was picked up by Tribe Records UK and now holds a residency for their monthly party in London as well as involved in the labels PR, Marketing and Event management. With her time so far in London she has been fortunate to have joined Tribe records on their recent Southern Africa tour and has also played alongside some of the house scenes most affluent dj/producers such as Ian Friday, Black Coffee, Osunlade, Boddhi Satva, Spinna and Phil Asher.
